God, the Universe and everything else

Three major of the scientific outreach, each an expert in a different field, met for the first and unique time in the same television studio in 1988. Stephen Hawking, Carl Sagan and Arthur C. Clarke spoke of the grand unified theory of the laws that govern the Universe.

This unusual document, although it’s before today’s known discoveries such as the existence of dark energy, addresses issues such as the Big Bang Theory, the expansion of the Universe, black holes, extraterrestrial life, the existence of God and the origins of creativity.

In just a few decades, man has disrupted the balance of thousands of years of the Earth's evolution of and has jeopardized his future. The risk is enormous and Humanity must become aware of the excessive exploitation of the planet's wealth and change their consumption habits. This is the argument that led to the French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand to embark on three years of work to shoot the documentary 'Home'. Made of aerial images taken in more than 50 countries, the author's intention was 'to place the first brick of the building that we must rebuild all together', in his own words. The film is free and was released simultaneously in theaters and on the Internet in June 2009. Currently he is working on a sequel, 'Home, story of a journey', which insists on the wounds of the world and explains the reasons that led him to get back on the same subject. A true story told in the first person by the protagonist, Rebecca Hosking, who thinks to return to his native Devon to take on the old family farm. From his professional perspective documentary filmmaker on wildlife, wonders how to transform the agricultural settlement of his parents, located in the south of England, on a farm of low energy level for a near future in which fuel fossil will become increasingly scarce. Rebecca takes the challenge and be part of the next generation of farmers, a generation that will face a very different scenario from today to survive and continue to produce. The high prices of fuel and the evident energetic decline are a warning that makes him aware that all food production in the world is at a crossroads unprecedented, being completely dependent on fossil fuels. The director-farmer with his camera recorded the different views of renowned researchers, permacultures and pioneers, who agree in pointing to Nature itself as providing the keys to future agriculture."
