WHAT ABOUT: The future by Paulo Coelho

One of the most read writers in the world, with over 140 million books sold in more than 168 countries and translated into 73 languages, achieved his greatest success with the book ‘El alquimista’ (The alchemist). He has received many international awards as the Crystal Award from the World Economic Forum, the Gold Medal of Galicia or the prestigious Chevalier de l’Ordre National de la Legion d’Honneur from the French government, among others who have hailed as one of the most important writers of our time. Since October 2002 is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters. Moreover, today is special adviser to Unesco spiritual convergence program and intercultural dialogues.

Paralelamente ha publicado cuatro libros: 'Corre, rocker: crónica personal de los ochenta' (2000), 'Limusinas y estrellas: medio siglo de rock (1954–2004)' (2004), 'Hotel Tierra' (2006) e 'Historia del hambre y la sed' (2006). También ha colaborado con diversos medios periodísticos españoles como El País, El Mundo, ABC, La Razón, Diario 16, El Periódico de Catalunya y La Vanguardia.'Artists are like the old watchmen who warn of what threatens the tribe'. In 2000 he graduated in Hispanic Philology from the University of Barcelona and the same year is integrated into the team responsible for the four volumes of 'Life written by women' by the Editorial Lumen, on pioneering women writers in Spain. In parallel has published four books: 'Run, rocker: personal chronicle of the eighties' (2000), 'Limousines and Stars: half a century of rock (1954-2004)' (2004), 'Hotel Earth' (2006) and 'History of hunger and thirst' (2006).
